Debra Caron Plunkett is the owner and senior public relations director at The Salubrious Buzz.

She has always been a natural at building relationships and sincerely enjoys promoting others. Debra’s life path has taken her down many different roads and she tested the waters in an incredible variety of occupations before finally finding her perfect fit.

Her resume includes industries ranging from banking to retail, property management, health clubs, restaurants, mental health, accounting, and even the fun-filled ski and snowboard industry. This is someone who has darn near done it all, which gives her a fantastic insight into working with all types of businesses and all types of people.

While variety is the spice of life, Debra eventually decided to settle down and pursue her true passions for health and communications, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a degree in nutrition communications from Arizona State University – a joint degree offered by the nutrition department and the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism.

She was immediately snapped up by HMA Public Relations, one of the oldest firms in the Phoenix area.  After three years as a team leader and award-winning account executive there, Debra tapped into her entrepreneurial instincts and launched The Salubrious Buzz, where she specializes in helping small to mid-sized businesses create a healthy approach to getting noticed.

In addition, Debra has served as a board member for the Phoenix Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators, has volunteered her expertise with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Arizona and is the president of the Ahwatukee/Maricopa chapter of The Mom-e Club, a networking organization focusing on encouraging and supporting mom-entrepreneurs in every aspect of being a mom and business owner.

Debra is a native of New England but much prefers the sweltering heat of the desert (yes, really).  She is a rock star mom, spending as much of her spare time as possible with her wonderful husband Davis and too-cute-to-be-true daughter Chloe, enjoying the wonderful treasures Arizona offers.
